When: 18/06/16: 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Where: Mikasa Park, 82 Inaoka, Yokosuka
The organizers of the event are looking to celebrate political freedom in being able to vote for “a bright future” in elections. Voter turnout is substantially lower in Japan than other first world nations, and a few groups are attempting to change that through inspiring events. They’re welcoming active voters and campaigners to gather on the lawns at Mikasa Park for this election season and enjoy being a community, together.
Zendama Fes is a cultural fanfare of music, celebrating local artists, performers, and important figures in Tokyo and Japan. Television hosts and other celebrities will be there throughout the day to give talks, introduce musicians, and discuss politics with guests. Zendama Fes organizers are encouraging the community to come together and help donate to the event itself, via their crowdfunding page (below), in order to pay for the facilities and produce DVDs and CDs of the event afterwards. A great day for the whole family, with tons of contests, games, and fun events planned for everyone.
