After a successful tour of Japan last year, DJ Frank Gossner, aka Voodoo Funk, is back. Lovers of rare funk, afro-beat, psych, boogie and disco rejoice!
If you’re new to the wondrous world of Frank Gossner, now is the time to get familiar. BBC News describes the German vinyl DJ as “an archaeologist of funk. He travels around Africa searching for old, unwanted and often mouldering LPs, gets them reissued and then plays them at his gigs around the world.”
Having spent years living and travelling around the African continent, Gossner has accumulated one of the most enviable rare and forgotten, yet extensive record collections on the planet.
Read about his amazing crate-digging adventures over at Dust & Grooves, and get ready for the dance floor.
“I will not be mad when the supply of records runs dry and I’ll have to find different things to do. I’m only mad when someone else finds something before me.” – Frank Gossner (via Dust & Grooves)
