While Tokyo’s multiplexes have the biggest blockbusters covered it’s often easy to miss the movies just left of mainstream. If you missed the gems that have been and gone from our screens in 2014, Shibuya’s excellent Uplink cinema is giving movie goers a second chance to catch the titles that really colored the cinema landscape of last year. Titles include Japanese indie hits The Light Shines Only There and Au revoir l’ ete, Russian Oscar contender Leviathan, Palme d’Or winner Blue is the Warmest Color and outstanding documentary Jodorowsky’s Dune.
