German artist Friedrich Kunath doesn’t limit his art to any single medium or realm. He creates idealistic pieces based in a variety of media, from photography to sculpture, and dips a bit into fine art and video work. He captures romanticized landscapes and skies, and juxtaposes them with commentary and sketches that contrast their soft, natural beauty. This is his first solo exhibition in Japan in that past six years.

Kaikai Kiki Gallery has partnered with Kunath before; peruse his works, hanging around in Tokyo for just a month, and see if you wind up “confronting your own less harmonious reality.”
