When: 28/05/16 - 29/05/16: 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: Roppongi Hills, 6-10-1 Roppongi
To celebrate 150 years of relations between Italy and Japan, the Italian Chamber of Commerce Japan (ICCJ) is throwing a two-day party for the occasion. Sections of Roppongi Hills will be filled with all things Italian: automobiles, fashion, and luxury items will be on display, while the tourism bureau and UNESCO have booths encouraging and advertising tour guides and travel. Souvenirs and scores of Italian classic dishes will entertain visitors, too.
One of the most anticipated features of the weekend, though, has to be the six-hour, back-to-back showcase of four powerhouse talents from Italy. From 3 pm to 8 pm on Sunday the 29th, visitors can catch the following shows:
- Alessio Silvestrin (famed ballet choreographer and composer) dancing alongside biwa musician Aiko Kubota (3:35 pm – 4:00 pm)
- Songstress Marianne Mirage, known for performing duets with Andrea Bocelli (4:55 pm – 5:25 pm)
- Italian pop star, singer-songwriter Giovanni Caccamo (5:45 pm – 6:15 pm)
- Iconic Japanese singer, Masafumi Akikawa, who studied in Italy for four years and has several chart-topping hits to his name (7:40 pm – 8:00 pm)
The monumental event will be sprawled out all across the central Roppongi Hills area, from the O-yana Plaza to the Arena; times will range for each exhibition and performance, and food details will vary. Be sure to check the link for full details and location.
