This is a rare opportunity for English speakers in Tokyo to partake in the shochu-making practice and taste some brands from Kagoshima! Shochu from southern Japan is typically made with sweet potatoes, and has its own distinct distilling process and flavors. The workshop and tour will be held in English, and is hosted by the Yamato Zakura and Nakamura distilleries. Shochu expert and translator Christopher Pellegrini will be facilitating a bilingual discussion and introducing the group to the art of shochu.
The package includes food, all of the shochu you can handle, and the once-in-a-lifetime chance to get a glimpse of the process up-close. Reserve a spot (only 30 slots, first come first served) to nab this chance!
