Animal Walk Tokyo is holding an animal walk to help raise funds to support “man’s best friend.” Animals stuck in a shelter need love too; if you have a full household and can’t adopt a four-legged friend, bring yours to the park, and donate to the cause! Participants will go for a 2-km walk around the park’s expanse (keep your animals leashed and on good behavior!) before taking some respite in the shade to enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and food.
The Event is supported by nearby schools, foundations, and artists who will be performing and selling goods, with 100% of their profit (including the participation fee) going to Dog Shelter, a local NPO that rescues, trains, and re-homes abandoned dogs. Animal Walk Tokyo was founded in 2011, but has already raised over ¥2.2 million to be turned into help for animals in desperate need of a home, veterinarian services, and a comfortable life. Register on-site at 10 am, and join the other park-walkers from 10:30 am.
