One of the great masters of American street photography, Ray Metzker, is the focus of “Informed by Light 1957-1968,” a new exhibition at Photo Gallery International. Metzker is known for his experimental style, mixing techniques such as multiple exposures, juxtaposition and solarization. His use of high contrast light and shadow is masterful in his striking images, exposing the hidden potential of black and white photography through form and technique.
