Where: Nezu Shrine, 1-28-9 Nedu
Traditions have to start somewhere, and this autumn festival centering around the Nezu Shrine started its annual run a mere 18 years ago, however, it seems like it has the legs to go the distance. Brass band concerts and taiko drum performances will go on through the weekend, as well as dancing and cheerleading exhibitions, surrounded by a flea market selling traditional goods. Food and drink can’t be far behind, as this is, after all, a festival. In true Japanese fashion, a stamp rally will also be going on, so get ready to stand in long lines, get your books stamped and collect a prize.
