A two-day festival that aims to introduce a variety of traditional Japanese performing arts whilst showcasing the charms of Kagurazaka. The area was a residential site for samurai in the 17th century and later became a district known for its performing arts and traditional musical instruments – exactly what you can expect from this event! Enjoy traditional Japanese entertainment in some of the area’s stylish cafes and restaurants, join an evening walking tour and catch a huge variety of performances on the stages, shrines and streets around Kagurazaka. Maps are available to guide you on a historical tour of the neighborhood, and there’s also the opportunity to join a class in Japanese music and performing arts for beginners (class fee is ¥500).
