This event has a dual purpose; it is a beer competition judged by professionals in the industry and also a beer festival for the general public. The beer competition is held in the morning. Anyone from the general public that comes between 10:30am and 12pm can watch the judges (limit 200 per day). Note: there is no judging on Friday.
The action shifts in the afternoon to the beer festival, where guests can drink from 180 varieties of craft beer. Most single cups are around ¥500, although prices vary for each vendor. During the festival, the results of the morning competition are announced and an awards ceremony is held for the winning breweries.
