The Tokyo Photographic Art Museum has officially relocated to Yebisu Garden Place and it’s celebrating its 20th anniversary with the opening of Hiroshi Sugimoto’s exhibition, “Lost Human Genetic Archive.” The New York-based artist uses large format film to create detailed scenes dealing with specific themes – this show’s theme is “the demise of mankind and civilization.” Taking up two floors of the newly reopened museum, three large works present the artist’s view of history and the world.
