When: 14/03/14: 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Where: Suntory Hall, 1-13-1 Akasaka
The Japanese Philharmonic Orchestra presents a special concert event at the Suntory Hall in Akasaka this Friday, March 14, with a unique opportunity for those attending to witness something a little bit different. As well as the main concert, guests will be given a tour of the Hall that will allow them to see what things are really like backstage.
Things kick off at 5pm with a pre-concert talk in English by Friulian Flavio Parisi. The tour follows and then it is time for the concert, which gets under way at 7 pm. The conductor is legendary figure Alexander Lazarev, the first man to hold the titles Chief Conductor and Artistic Director at the Bolshoi Theater simultaneously, while piano virtuoso Yoshio Hamano will also be performing.
The pre-talk has been organized by the Fogolâr Furlan di Tokyo, an association of Friulian/Italian/Japanese people who organize cultural events, interchanges and parties aimed at people who want to learn more about Friuli, the northeasternmost region of Italy.
