Dress in a Kimono and Discover Karuta at Omi Jingu Shrine

From November 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018, take a trip back in time by visiting Prince Hotel Lake Biwa Otsu.

The hotel is offering an overnight package that allows you to dress in a traditional kimono and discover the charm and mystery of karuta at its home of Omi Jingu Shrine.

Omi Jingu, which is located near Lake Biwa, is considered the sacred home of karuta, the traditional Japanese card game that’s recently been the subject of popular manga and anime series.

With Prince Hotel Lake Biwa Otsu’s package, you can learn about the world of karuta while wearing a 12-layered ceremonial kimono at the shrine.

Those from Japan and abroad alike are invited to enjoy this photogenic travel package from Prince Hotel Lake Biwa Otsu this winter.
