The Weekender countdown of the month’s hottest trending tracks to funk up your playlist.

Pink – “Beautiful Trauma”

Pink returns with her seventh studio album and the title track “Beautiful Trauma” is our stand out. The song is classic Pink, where she chronicles her relationship downfalls. Certainly it would not fall out of place alongside her noughties greats “Don’t Let Me Get Me” and “So What”. The album has already hit number one worldwide, so she should be right to stick to her winning formula.

Hayley Kiyoko – “Feelings”

Hayley Kiyoko is one to watch for next year and this has already notched up over 2.5 million views in a few weeks. The actress is well known for popular tween/teen films on the Disney Channel and Cartoon Network, but now she’s all grown up and looking incredible. “Feelings” is a sexy pop number, which Kiyoko describes as “real, unapologetic and honest” as she explores feelings for other women. It’s the first track from her upcoming Atlantic Records debut album and we love it!

alt J – “Deadcrush”

British indie rock band alt-J are currently promoting their third hit disc Relaxer, and we can’t wait for the show at Akasaka Blitz on November 24th. “Deadcrush” was released in the summer but is probably more fitting for Halloween (it’s about a deceased love fantasy). It features vocals from Ellie Rowsell from rock outfit Wolf Alice.

Dagny – “Love You Like That”

Dagny Norvoll is a 27 year old Norwegian pop singer most famous for her song “Backbeat,” which was used on Grey’s Anatomy. “Love You Like That” is an alternative pop song that is ridiculously catchy, and while it has only charted in Norway, it is starting to do the rounds on Spotify playlists worldwide.

Crystal Kay – “何度でも (Nando Demo/Again and Again)”

Japanese singer and radio host, Crystal Kay is the queen of Christmas in Northern Asia, and this track has all the bells you could need this holiday season. Her December shows at Billboard Tokyo are called “Crystal Christmas”, so you can only imagine how festive that will be.

Zedd feat Liam Payne – “Get Low”

A month doesn’t seem to go by without at least one former One-Directioner releasing a single. This time Liam Payne teams up with Grammy Award winning DJ and producer, Zedd on “Get Low”. The song has an urban summer club vibe, and the video sees the duo surprising the streets of London.

Rita Ora – “Anywhere”

Ora releases the second single from her upcoming unnamed second album, and it’s even better than her summer anthem “Your Song.” The electro-pop track has a gripping beat and reflects on running away with a new love. Winter escape anyone?

Lady Gaga – “Million Reasons (Andrelli Remix)”

Gaga has been making headlines recently, not only with her eye-opening Netflix documentary, Five Foot Two, but also a surprise engagement to her agent and the postponing of her recent Joanne tour due to health issues. This awesome dance remix of “Million Reasons” reminds us just how talented the 31 year old US singer is amid personal controversy.
