Following on from Travel Portland’s animated video campaign of last year, which was aimed at attracting Japanese tourists, Oregon’s most famous city is back with more treats for Tokyoites.

Travel Portland recently hosted a pop-up travel agency called OdnaroTravel where visitors could meet the peculiar blue-haired monster, OdnaroDude, and flip through some unique travel brochures – all designed to playfully parody Japan’s love of mascots and somewhat chaotic style of brochure design.

They also called on a variety of Portland-based brands to put together a collection of goodie-filled gift boxes (pictured top), and the good news for you is that we have four of these to give away.

Each box includes tea from Steven Smith Teamaker, honey sticks from Bee Local, Woodblock Chocolate bars, Jacobsen Salt (harvested from Netarts Bay on the Oregon Coast), and a handmade cosmetic bag from Appetite. So even if you can’t make it all the way to Portland, you can at least get a taste of the city’s hipster charm right here in Tokyo.
