Mere days after the destruction in Koshigaya and Noda, tornadoes tore roofs off houses and shattered windows in Yaita city, north of Tokyo.
Hundreds of houses were badly damaged and left without power after a tornado ripped through the city, around 100 kilometers north of Tokyo, reports said.
Tokyo Electric Power said about 600 households lost power for around three hours in Yaita.
Only one casualty in Yaita was reported when a 60-year-old man was slightly injured.
AFP reports more than 60 buildings were partially damaged or totally destroyed in wider Tochigi prefecture.
Pictures posted on Twitter and other social networks showed a dark funnel of cloud, sending debris flying into the air.
Parts of eastern Japan were hit by tornadoes, toppling power lines and destroying buildings in Koshigaya city. At least 63 people were injured in the havoc.
