Who said yukata and champagne don’t mix?

If you’re looking for a little traditional twist on your usual Friday night festivities, try this party combining light summer kimono and bubbles courtesy of Moët & Chandon. This all-night fiesta starts early, so practice tying up your yukata for a complimentary glass of champagne and a limited edition sensu (hand-held) fan from the same brand, which might come handy as temperatures will be rising throughout the evening.

The event will feature a yukata fashion show, and the robes will be donned by gorgeous models from Bijin Tokei (‘Beautiful Girls Clock’, which features pretty girls holding the time on a blackboard – in case you’re not familiar). In addition to model and traditional attire, you can watch a high-energy taiko drum performance from drumming group Mugen, or dance to the sounds of the various DJs playing until the wee hours.

Guests are encouraged to wear a yukuta, but semi-formal garments are acceptable. The first 100 guests will receive a free mascara from Maybelline – sorry guys, only girls are eligible for that giveaway.
