What better place to enjoy a spot of yoga than in Yoyogi park?

HelloYoga.com is hosting Yoga in the Park sessions again (the event is organised each spring and autumn) and you are invited! Yoga addicts and beginners alike should keep a spot in the calendar free, all are welcome to the one hour sessions, taking in the basics, which will take place over the last weekend of September.

The event seems like a great way to get involved in yoga or, if you are not so familiar with the benefits, just get a nice taste. You don’t need a reservation – just turning up on the day is fine, so why not give it a go? Yoga instructor Dylan Robertson is a fluent Japanese speaker; the sessions will be in both English and Japanese and are usually well attended by a diverse range of people.

The charity that will benefit from the event is the Tyler Foundation (see their website, here) which supports children with cancer, and their families, here in Japan.

When: Sep. 29 (Sat), 30 (Sun). Each session runs from 11:00 – 12:00. (Meet at 10:30 at the gates of Yoyogi Park nearest JR Harajuku Station – near the clock!)

Where: Yoyogi Park

How much: ¥1,000 (all proceeds to the Tyler Foundation)

For more information and a list of what you need to bring, you can check out the event’s Facebook page (here) which has details in both English and Japanese.

[Note: You will need to bring your own yoga mat and suitable clothes.]
