Pakistan narrows down the military gap between long time rival India by testing nuclear-capable missile for the fifth time.

The Hatf VII cruise missile rivals India’s long-range weapon, equipped with “high maneuverability and pinpoint accuracy”, which can carry conventional warheads up to a range of 700 kilometers (440 miles) , military said. It also has a “radar avoidance features”.

India’s Agni V is capable of delivering a one-tonne nuclear war head to China, its neighbor in the east.

The neighboring countries each have their own nuclear capability which they make a show of letting the other know by staging nuclear tests. The Pakistan-India border is one of the most heavily guarded in the world.

Both countries’ rivals are found to the east, with Pakistan wary of India, while India is focusing on China.
