Added to the Fuji Rock festival and completing the lineup of headliners, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds means three UK acts topping the bill.

Along with Radiohead and the Stone Roses, Noel Gallagher made his name in the 90s – with Oasis, of course – and this seems something of a theme for festival organisers. Whilst it isn’t so much of a ‘comeback’ as it will be for the ‘Roses – they have reformed for 2012 shows – the festival will have experienced guys closing the show each night!

Beady Eye, Noel’s brother Liam’s band, will play on Friday. There may be some classic Gallagher brother rivalry already, and who knows if Ian Brown will chip in – it is he who’s Stone Roses may push Liam out of the limelight that day!

Oasis split in 2009, not long after a Fuji Rock show at which many fans feared for the band’s future. The brothers were reportedly not talking at the time – their tumultuous relationship on show for all to see with backs turned and small talk limited – and many fans left disappointed. Hopefully, people who do find they can still cope with the music, or indeed nostalgia fans, will find one of the brothers has something good to offer.

If not, just hang about and wait for Radiohead! Check out the full Fuji Rock lineup here.
