Norman Cook, AKA Fat Boy Slim will make a welcomed return to Japan this week when his Big Beach festival comes to Tokyo (well, Chiba). The outdoor concert is modeled on the hugely successful, and jam packed gigs he played on Brighton beach in the U.K.

Carl Cox, Steve Lawler and the Dex Pistols will be warming the crowd up through the day, before the finale at sundown. Over 20,000 fans are expected to descend on the skinny strip of sand next to Chiba’s Makuhari Messe convention center, an hour from Tokyo.

Last year, fellow Brit DJ’s Groove Armada, Sasha and the Chemical Brothers played to a sunburned crowd but house music fans may need to pack an umbrella for 2011 if this years rainy season continues any longer.

For eager Fat Boy geeks, who want to get their dance on beforehand, an exclusive, free mix is available for download from the official website: here.
