South of Chennai is a little town that is situated on the Bay of Bengal called Mamallapuram. This town is famous for it’s ancient temple ruins and now possibly something else.

In the name of wellness, the ayurvedic spa has a spa experience that involves a bath filled with little fish that bite at you called Roffaa Groo. These little white fish come from Southeast Asia and thankfully have no teeth in their bite. Putting your feet into the bath knowing these fish will quickly swarm and start nibbling is a bit trippy. The fish clean away dead skin and keep you and their environment clean. Villagers in India enjoy this experience in their local ponds.

I think I’ll stick with massage.
