The Black Eyed Peas will soon be returning to Japan for a series of performances. The group, composed of Will.I.Am, Apl.de.Ap, Taboo, and Fergie, is one of only 11 to have ever held the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. With Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling showing no signs of conceding these coveted positions, the Peas look poised to break pop star Usher’s record of most consecutive frames atop the Hot 100. Since their breakout album Elephunk in 2003, the group’s hip-hop oriented style has sold an estimated 18 million albums worldwide, and has racked up seven grammy nominations and three wins.
