Cool Beauty: Sin Den, Tokyo’s Top Expat Salon

Fashion Trends & Culture - September 7th, 2009

Opened in 1994, Sin Den has been Tokyo’s top destination for expat hair and makeup for a decade and a half. A couple of location and ownership changes have only served to make Sin Den better, and have ensured that it keeps its well-deserved place among Tokyo’s top salons. In addition to cuts, colors, and perms, Sin Den also offers a full range of treatments and makeup services. Continuously employing hair stylists and makeup artists that are among the best in the world, the salon is able to offer its customers a top notch experience upon each and every visit.

At the head of Sin Den’s talented team of professionals is Fabio Alfano, who left a high-profile job at Tony & Guy’s busy Mayfair location in London to work as a master stylist at Sin Den. In addition to his hair and makeup work and managing the salon, Fabio’s work has appeared in numerous magazines and high profile fashion events, including shows during London Fashion Week. A newer addition to the crew is Sarah Davies, one of London’s top colorists, who joined Sin Den earlier this year. In addition to expert coloring services, Sarah provides her clients with a full range of hair and makeup services. Sin Den’s resident makeup artist is Naomi Saito, whose skilled hands and trained eye bring out the natural beauty in her subjects time and time again.

One of the newest additions to Sin Den’s menu is special effects makeup. This unique service is available for Halloween or anytime, and Sin Den is currently running a campaign offering special effects makeup for only ¥5,500 (¥3,000 for kids) with any cut or color. The offer can even be split between two people, so the parent can get a cut and the child can get the Halloween makeup!
