Last year the movie Every Little Step followed the plight of aspiring dancers as they struggled to compete for a place in the fourth longest running musical in Broadway’s history, . This timeless musical explores the contradiction of theatrical dancers, also known as ‘gypsies,’ as they wander from show to show, working very hard to attain perfection but rarely getting anything close to the accolades of the actors. This show at Shibuya’s Bunkamura features the original cast from the movie and is sure to be as big a hit in Tokyo as it was when it debuted in New York in 1975.
