It seems that music is in the family genes. At only 15 years old, Clementine’s daughter Solita is already establishing herself as an artist in her own right. Growing up in a musical family has served her well—she began studying piano and modern dance at the age of three.

Although she is a talented singer just like her mother, Solita is so far more well-known for other non-musical achievements. She has graced the pages of Japanese fashion magazines from Elle Girl to Spoon, has appeared in several television commercials, and since April of this year she has been featured as a regular guest on NHK’s French language learning program, Terebi de France-go.

With a style not entirely unlike her mother’s, her music has a fresh and youthful feel to it. Also like her mother, Solita is building the foundation of her career largely in Japan. Last year she collaborated with young Japanese violinist Emiri Miyamoto on her her debut album, Tokyo et Paris.
